Dr. Seaman MD

Dr. Seaman began her career in Psychiatry in 1995 in the USAF, and maintains current board-certification in Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine under the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is the only physician in Oklahoma with subspecialty certification in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry under the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. Dr. Seaman gives full credit to her prior mentors and professors for their selfless teaching and leadership-by-example. she feels particularly honored to be able to learn from and share in the healing of many diverse patients. Dr. Seaman was previously an Associate Professor of Psychiatry as well as a Psychiatric Residency Director. During those years, she served on several committees related to ethics and education within local, regional and national medical organizations. she had also published several scientific articles in national medical journals as well as 4 textbook chapters. Dr. Seaman has been awarded numerous teaching awards in the past, in addition to the difficult to achieve title of “Fellow” in the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine in 2003.

She gladly came to Oklahoma City in 2004, and made the jump to private practice in 2008 by starting “Integrated Psychiatry” in a small, one-office practice. Five years later, she is thrilled to be able to practice alongside three fantastically gifted psychiatrists in Drs. Cowperthwaite, Molina, and Yokell within our own clinic built from the ground up. Under the same roof and just down the hall from Integrated Psychiatry are the 16 therapists of New Leaf Counseling, led by a quartet of Edmond???s finest therapists. It is Dr. Seaman’s privilege to serve adult patients with any mental health concern, and does so from a base of competence, commitment, and most importantly, compassion.
